The village of Cerne Abbas Open Gardens is proud to provide significant support to an outside cause every year.

Your organisation was chosen to receive half the net income from our annual Open Gardens weekend. You were chosen as a result of a ballot of last last year's openers and help organisers. This was based on suggestions from folk in the village.

The income depends on many things so it is difficult to predict how much we might raise but if you look at the list of past recipients you will see that it could be reasonably significant. To some extent the outcome depends on you to. It is important that you help by mobilising your own supporters perhaps by:

Including our event on your website.
Distributing our poster, which may be downloaded here, at other events organised for your benefit.
Including our event in any newsletters you send out.
Near the time, directly reminding your supporters by email.

Over the weekend we like to have the external recipients represented with a small table display so that visitors can see what you do. We usually locate this outside, next to the plant stall.

It would be nice, if after the event, a representative came to Cerne to receive the cheque which we would like one of nominees to present in one of the gardens that opened.
